WHAT IS THE NEUBIE The Neubie is an unique neuromuscular electrical stimulation device that uses high frequency pulsed direct current (DC) to identify and reset areas of neurological dysfunction. Direct current fields have been found to have a number of positive biological effects including accelerated healing, repair, regeneration, and neuromuscular re-education. As we know, the nervous system controls the function of every muscle. If a movement dysfunction is contributing to pain, injury, limited mobility, or robbing you of performance, then neuromuscular re-education using the Neubie may be able to help. By incorporating the Neubie’s unique direct current neuromuscular stimulation into a training program, we can increase the intensity of muscle activation and recruit more muscle fibers using a much lower load. This leads to increased strength gains with less risk of injury or re-injury. Direct current, unlike alternating current doesn’t lock up the muscle when used at high intensities. This allows us to emphasize eccentric contractions and get a significantly more intense muscle contraction while still maintaining functional movement patterns. After injury, using the Neubie may be able to accelerate the physiological process of repair and speed up healing time by up to 50% in some cases. Neuromuscular re-education using the Neubie may aid in recovery by increasing blood flow, improving range of motion, decreasing spasm, relieving pain and preventing atrophy.
